radius of hemisphere r=12cm
radius of cylinder R=6cm
let h be the height of cylinder
since the hemisphere is melted into a cylinder, then the volume of cylinder = volume of hemisphere
PiR^2h =2/3pir^3
R^2h=2/3r^3
h=2x12x12x12/3x6x6
h =3456/108
h=32cm
hence the height of cylinder is 32cm
