- A solid iron pole consists of a cylinder of height 220 cm and base diameter 24 cm, which
is surmounted by another cylinder of height 60 cm and radius 8 cm. Find the mass of the
pole, given that 1 cm of iron has approximately 8g mass. (Use pie = 3.14)

Given :-

Height of H1 = 220cm

Base diameter = 24cm

Height of H2 = 60cm

Radius = 8cm

Mass = 1cm = 8g mass

To find :- Mass of complete pole.

Solution :-

Volume of cylinder = πr^2h

volume of first cylinder = 3.14×12×12×220

volume of second cylinder =3.14×8×8×60

On solving these two and then adding we get = 111532.8cm cube

Mass per cm cube = 8gram

Total Mass= 11532×8=892262.4

Gram =892.26 kg Answer!!
