Answer :-

Let us assume that,

  • Radius of both bases of cone = r cm .
  • Height of top cone = h1 cm .
  • Height of bottom cone = h2 cm .

so,

→ Quantity of water displace = The volume of double cone .

→ Quantity of water displace = Volume of top cone + Volume of bottom cone .

→ Quantity of water displace = (1/3)πr²h1 + (1/3)πr²h2

→ Quantity of water displace = (1/3)πr²(h1 + h2) (Ans.)
