A solid metallic sphere of diameter 8cm is melted and drawn into a solid cylinder. If the height of the cylinder is 12cm, find its diameter.​

Given,

diameter of sphere = 8 cm

8 ÷ 2 =4cm

converting 4 cm into m

Let radius be r

Length of wire (cylinder)h= 12 m

$radius = diameter \div 2$

now , volume of sphere =volume of cylinder

4/3πr³ = r² × h

4/3 (0.04)³ = r²×12

r² = 4 × (0.04)³/3×12

r² = 0.000256/36

r² = 0.016/6

r = 0.002 m

r = 0.26 cm

1 m = 100 cm

Therefore, 2× 0.26cm
