Question :-- A solid metallic sphere of radius 30cm is melted to make solid cylinder of radius 10cm and height 7.5cm.How many such cylinders can be made ?

Formula and concept used :--

→ if anything is melted to Form a new Shape , than , volume will remain same in both the cases .

→ Volume of sphere = 4/3 * π * r³

→ Volume of cylinder = π * r² * h .

Solution :-

Let n number of cylinder can be made From sphere ,

Now, comparing volume of both,

putting values we get,

4/3 * π * (30)³ = n * [ π * (10)² * 7.5 ]

π will be cancel from both sides ,

4 * 30 * 30 * 30 = n * 3 * 10 * 10 * 7.5

→ 4 * 30 * 30 * 30 = n * 30 * 75

30 will be cancel now,

4 * 30 * 30 = 75n

Dividing both sides by 75 now ,

n = 48 .

Hence, we can say that, 48 cylinders can be made from the Sphere .
