Answer

Dimensions of the pan stand are

l=15cm

b=10cm

h=3.5cm

⇒ Volume=l×b×h

=15×10×3.5

=525cm3

4 conical depressions are taken out to make pen holders.

⇒ Volume taken out =4(volume of one cone)

=4(31πr2h)

Radius(r)=0.5cm

Height(h)=1.4cm

⇒ Volume taken out=34×722×0.5×0.5×1.4

=1.466cm3

⇒ Volume of wood in stand=525−1.466

=523.534cm3

=523.53cm3.
