Mass of solid , m = 50g
Volume of the solid = 100cm^3

Density = Mass/Volume = 50/100 = 0.5 g/cm^3
Relative density of the solid = Density of the solid / Density of water

= 0.5/1 = 0.5 ( since, density of water = 1g/cm^3
The relative density of the solid is less than water
0.5< 1

Therefore the solid is lighter than water, so it will float

The mass of the object is 50g.

The given volume is 100cm^3

So the density of the object is 50/100(density=mass/volume)

=0.5gram/cm^3

The density of water is 1gram/cm^3

Now we get to see that the density of the given object is less than water(1>0
.5).So the object will float.
