A solid of density 500 kg/m^3 weigh 0.5 kg in air. It is completely immersed in water of density 1000 kg / m^3 . Calculate it's apparent weight in water. What is the apparent weight if water is replaced by a liquid of density 8000 kg/m^3.

Since the density of the solid is less than that of water, it will float in water. Hence apparent weight of the object will be 0.

Same in case o the liquid with density 8000kg/m^3. its apparent weight will be 0
