A solid of mass 10 kg weight in water it appears 80 N. Find the relative density of the solid?​

Answer:

Mass (m) = 10 kg

Weight in water = 80 N

Acceleration due to gravity (g) = 9.8 m/s²

Weight in air = mg

= 10*9.8

= 98 N

Relative Density = Weight in air/ Weight in air - Weight in water

= 98/98-80

= 98/18

= 5.444
