Step-by-step explanation:

A solid is melted to form another solid . So , definitely it's volume will remain same .

Dimensions of cuboid :

24cm,18cm,4cm

Volume of cuboid = length x breadth x height

So, volume = 24x18x4 cm³

= 1728cm³

Now , cuboid is being converted into cube.

Volume of cube=(side)³

As stated earlier, volume of cuboid = volume of cube .

Making equation:

(side)³=1728

side=³1728 cm

side = 12cm

Value of each side of a cube is 12cm.

Surface area= 6x(area of one face)

=6x (12)²cm²

=6x144 cm²

=864 cm²

{Hope it helps you .}
