- A solid rubber ball with a mass of 5.9 grams sank in the water. A hollow rubber ball with the same mass floats in the water. Explain why this might be. -

volume of solid rubber ball is less. Thus its density is higher. Its density might became higher than density of water.

Where as, volume of hollow rubber ball is more. Thus its density is lower than of water.

Objects having high density tends to sink in water where as Objects of less density floats on water.
