A solid sphere is cut equally becomes a hemisphere. If the surface area of the sphere is 1024π cm². Calculate the total volume of the hemisphere.

Given :  A solid sphere is cut equally becomes a hemisphere .  surface area of the sphere is 1024π cm².

To find :  volume of the hemisphere.

Solution:

Surface area of Sphere  = 4πr²   cm²

r = radius of sphere in cm

Surface area of Sphere  given  = 1024π cm²

=> 4πr²   = 1024π

=> r²   =   256

=> r = 16  

Radius = 16 cm

Volume of Hemisphere = (2/3)πr³

= (2/3)π (16)³

= 8192π/3   cm³

=  8578.6   cm³
