a solid sphere is cut into two hemispheres. find the percent of increase in the surface area

Hello mate,
The surface area of sphere=4pi r square
Total Surface area of hemisphere=3pi r square
So the the total surface area of the other hemisphere=3 pi r square
then,
increase in surface area=2*Total surface area of the hemisphere=2*3 pi r square=6 pi r square.
% age in increase in surface area=6 pi r square/4 pi r square*100=150%
