A solid sphere of mass 1kg rolls on a table with linear speed 2m/s, find its Total Kinetic Energy.

K. E=1/2mv²


m=1
v=2

K. E=1*(2)²/2
=4/2
=2 kgm²/s²

tejasreee: No, for rolling body we should consider rotational kinetic energy also.

K.E. of the rolling body = translational
K.E. + rotational K.E.
