Now: Let V be the volume of the liquid displaced.

The weight of the liquid displaced = Volume of the liquid displaced × density of the liquid

Density of the liquid = 0.8

Weight of the liquid displaced = loss of weight of the solid = 15 - 13 = 2 gm

2 = 0.8V

V = 2/0.8 = 2.5 cm³= the volume of the solid.

The mass of the solid = 15 gm

Density = mass/volume

= 15/2.5 = 6 gm/cm³

The volume of the solid = 2.5 cm³

The density of the solid = 6 gm/cm³
