A solid weighs 80g in air and 64g in water .calculate the relative density of solid. State if object would sink or float if kept in water

buoyant force = 80×g -64×g = 16g.
g= acceleration due to gravity .
16g =( 80/d)× 1× g.
( d= relative density of solid )
d = 5g/cc .
=> The object will sink as its density is greater than the water.
