A solid wooden cone of diameter 14 cm and vertical lenghy 24 m cut into two halves one hlaf is to be covered by colour ful paper at the rate of rs 7 find the total cost of paper required​

radius = diameter/2=7cm

Slant height(l)=√{(vertical ht)^2+radius^2}

=√(24^2+7^2)

=25cm.

Total surface area of cone=πr(l+r)

=22/7(25+7)cm^2

=864/7cm^2

Thus total surface area of each half = (864/7)/2+area of the triangle at the axis along which it is cut

= 864/14

=864/14+84

=1176/14

rate=Rs.7

the cost= 1176*7/14

=Rs.588
