mass of sloute = 2gram

molar mass of NaOH = 40 u

no. of. moles of solute = 2 ÷ 40

= 0.05 mols

volume = 500 cm3 = 500 ml

molarity = number of moles of sloute ×1000

volume in ml

M= 0.05 ×1000

500

= 0.1 molar
