mass of solute=40 gram.

molecular mass of sugar is 342 gram .
No of moles=40/342=0.116.

As you know morality=(moles of solute/mass of solvent is kg)×1000=(0.116/0.36)1000=0.32molal.

concentration is 0.32 molal.

Thanks..
