Mass of Solute = 40g
Mass of solvent = 320g .
Mass of Solution = 40+ 320 = 360g.
Mass percentage of solution = Mass of Solute / Mass of solution
Mass percentage of the solution = 40/360 * 100 = 1/9*100= 100/9 % = 11.11%

Hey there!
Given,
Mass (solute) = 40 gram
Mass (solvent) = 320 gram
Mass (solution) = Mass (solute) + Mass (solvent)
= 40 gram + 320 gram
= 360 gram
∴ Mass % (solution) = [ Mass (solute)/Mass (solvent)] × 100
= [40/360] × 100
= 11.1 %
Hope It Helps You!
