Given:-

→Mass of common salt(solute)=20g

→Mass of water(solvent)=160g

To find:-

→Concentration of the solution

(in terms of mass percentage)

Solution:-

Here,we can see that mass of solute and solvent are given.

So,firstly we shall calculate the total

mass of the solution, which can be calculated as follows:-

=>Mass of solute+Mass of solvent

=>(160+20)g

=>180g

Thus,we got mass of solution as 180g.

Now,we shall calculate the concentration of the solution.

Concentration of solution:-

=>Mass of solute/Mass of solution×100

=>20/180×100

=>100/9

=>11.11% (approximate)

Thus,concentration of the solution in terms of mass percentage is 11.11%.
