A solution contain 30g of sugar dissolve in 370g of water

To calculate the concentration of water, 

>The mass percentage of solution = (Mass of solute/ Mass of solution) X 100 
>Mass of solution = mass of solvent + mass of solute 

The mass of solute = 30g sugar 

The mass of solvent = 370g water 

From the formula, 

mass of sugar+ mass of water= 30g + 370g = 400g 

The mass percentage of the solution is equivalent to (30/400) x 100 = 7.5%
