A solution contain 40g of salt in 60g of water. calculate it's mass percentage

Explanation:mass % is weight of solute present in 100 grams of solution.

hence, solution's weight = weight  of water+weight of solute

                                            = 60+40=100

so,

mass%= weight of solute/weight of solution * 100 = 40%
