Solution :-

As given that the volume of

Alcohol = 5 ml

Water = 95 ml

Now we have to calculate the the volume % of the solution

\small{\sf{Volume \% = \dfrac{Volume \:of\: solute/solvent}{Volume \:of \:solution} \times 100}}

Volume of solution = 95 + 5

= 100 ml

Now first we will find out the volume % of solute in the solution :-

Solute = Alcohol

Volume %

 = \dfrac{5}{100} \times 100

 = 5\%

Volume % of solvent in solution

Solvent = Water

Volume %

 = \dfrac{95}{100} \times 100

 = 95\%

Extra Information :-

Molecular formula for

▪️Water = H₂O

▪️Alcohol = C₂H₅OH

Mass of

▪️Hydrogen atom = 1 amu

▪️Oxygen atom = 16 amu

▪️Carbon atom = 12 amu

Mass of one molecule of

▪️Water = 18 amu

▪️Alcohol = 46 amu
