mass of solute (sugar) =10g
mass of water=170g
mass of the solution=10g+170g=180g
concentration of the solution
=(mass of solute/mass of the solution)×100 =(10/180)×100
=5.55%
Thus, the concentration of this sugar solution is 5.55%(by mass)..
