Concentration of solution is 5 %

Step 1:

Mass of the solute (sodium chloride) = 15 g

Mass of the solvent (water) = 285 g

Mass of the solution = Mass of the solute + Mass of the solvent

= 15 + 285 = 300 g

Step 2:

Concentration (mass by mass percentage) =

⇒   \frac{massofsolute}{massofsolution}  ×  100

⇒   \frac{15}{300}  ×  100

⇒  5 %

Therefore, the concentration of the solution is 5%
