The question should be calculate the percentage of ethyl alcohol in the solution

Ans=>

 \frac{15}{110 + 15} \times 100

 \frac{15}{125} \times 100

12\%

Given:-

→ Volume of solute (ethyl alcohol) = 15mL

→ Volume of solvent (water) = 110mL

To find:-

→ Volume percentage [concentration] of the solution.

Solution:-

Here, volume of solute and solvent are given. So firstly, let's calculate the total volume of the solution. It can be calculated as follows:-

Volume of solution:-

= Volume of solute + Volume of solvent

= (110 +15) mL

= 125mL

Hence, total volume of the solution is 125mL.

Now, Concentration [Volume %] :-

Vol of solute/Vol of solution × 100

= 15/125×100

= 1500/125

= 12%

Thus, volume percentage [concentration] of the solution is 12%.
