According to the question,

Mass of solute  ( sugar )  = 20 g

Mass of solvent ( water )  = 80 g

Mass of the solution = Mass of solute + Mass of solvent = 36 + 100 = 136 g

We know,

Concentration of solution =

Mass of solute / (Mass of solute + Mass of solvent) X 100

= {20 / ( 20+80 )} X 100

= (20 / 100) x 100

= 20 %

Thus, the concentration of this sugar solution is 20 % ( by Mass )
