given: mass of sugar (solute)=30g,mass of water (solvent)=100g

to find:concentration of the solution

mass of solution=mass of solute + mass of solvent

mass of solution =30+100
mass of solution =130g

Concentration=Mass of solute÷mass of solution ×100

concentration=30÷100×100
concentration=30%

JunaidMirza: You mistakenly took mass of solution = 100 g instead of 130 g

Mass of solute = 30 g
Mass of solution = 100 g + 30 g = 130 g

Concentration of solution = (Mass of solute / Mass of solution) × 100
= (30 / 130) × 100
= 23.0%
