A solution contains 30g of glucose and 20g of sugar in 500 mL of water. Calculate the mass percentage of glucose and sugar. (Density= 1g/mL)

Hi,

here is the answer for your question....

The solution contain 30g glucose , 20 g salt and 500g water(density of water = 1g/ml so 500ml= 500g)

Total weight of solution by mass = 30g + 20g + 500 g = 550g

Mass % of glucose = 30/ 550 *100 = 5.45 %

Mass % of salt = 20 /550 *100 = 3.63%
