A solution contains 40g of common salt in 320g of water calculate the concentration in the terms of mass by mass of percentage of the solution ?

Mass of common salt (solute)=40 g

Mass of water (soluted) =320 g

mass of solution=320+40

=360 g

concentration of solution=

 \frac{mass \: of \: solute}{mass \: of \: solution \: }  \times 100 \\  = \frac{40}{360}  \times 100 \\  = 11.11\%

Hence, the concentration of the solution is 11.11%
