a solution contains 40g of salt in 320g of water . calculate the concentration in terms of mass by volume percentage of the solution​

Here mass of salt = 40g

& mass of water = 360g

Therefore,

Total mass of the solution = 40g+320g

                                           =  360g

now,

percentage of solution=   mass of the solute/mass of the solution *100

                                      = 40g/360g*100

                                      =  100/9

                                     = 11.111........
