A solution contains 40g of sodium chloride mixed with 100ml of water claculate the concentration in terms of mass by volume percentage of the solution

Mass of solute (NaCl) = 40g

Volume of solution = 100ml

Mass by Volume % = Mass of solute/ Volume of solution x 100

=> 40g/100ml x 100 = 40%

Therefore, mass by volume % = 40%
