A solution contains 40ml of ethanol in 420 ml of water. Calculate the concentration (in terms of volume by voulme percentage ) of the soultion .​

Given,

Mass of ethanol = 40ml

Mass of water = 420 ml

Mass of solution = 420 + 40 = 460ml

Concentration of solution = volume of solute / volume of solution * 100

= 40 / 420 * 100

= 200/21 = 9. 52%
