Mass by Mass % = (Mass of Solute/ Total mass of solution) * 100  

Mass of solute = 45g

Mass of solvent = 495g

Total mass of solution= Mass of solute + Mass of solvent

                             = 45 + 495

                             = 540g

Mass by Mass% = 45/540

                           = 1/18

   

                            = 0.05%
