Mass percent of sugar = Mass of sugar/Mass of solution×100

>(50g/ 50+450)x 100

>(50g/500)×100

>(50/5) =10%

Mass percent of water = 100 - 10 = 90%

therefore,

  1. mass percent of sugar. = 10%
  2. mass percent of water. = 90%
