A solution contains 50 gms of NaCl in 400 gms of water. Calculate the

concentration in terms of mass by mass percentage of the solution.​

Mass of solute = 50g

mass of solvent = 400g

mass of solution = 50 + 400 = 450g

mass by mass% = mass of solute / mass of solution

mass by mass = 50/450 * 100

= 100/9

= 11.1%

mass by mass % = 11.1%
