A solution contains 60 g of sugar dissolved in 740 g of water. Calculate the change in concentration of this solution by mass percentage method when 200 g more water is mixed.

mass percentage = (60 / 800)* 100

when 200 g of water is added then :

mass of solution = (800 + 200)g

mass percentage= (60 /1000)*100

= 6%

change in concentration = 7.5% - 6%

= 1.5%

concentration will decrease by 1.5%
