Answer:

mass of solvent =400 g

mass of solute =60 g

mass of solution =400+60g

=460g

concentration= 60/460×100

= 13.04 %

Answer:

% W/W of solution = 13.04 %

Explanation:

Given :

NaCl Solute

Water Solvent

Wt. of NaCl = W2 = 60 g

Wt. of water = W1 = 400 g

We have,

% W/W of solution = W2/(W1+W2) * 100%

% W/W of solution = 60/(400+60) * 100

% W/W of solution = 60*100/460

% W/W of solution = 13.04 %
