A solution contains 75g of a common salt in 425g of water . Calculate the volume percentage of the solution .

Answer:

Mass of solute(Comman salt) = 25g

Mass of solvent(water) = 75g

 Substituting values in formula,

 

Concentration of solute in mass%=mass of solute * 100/ (mass of solute + mass of solvent) 

%Comman Salt =25*100/(75+25)

                       

= 25%
