Concentration of solution = mass of solute /mass of solution ×100 = 80/640 ×100 =>so the answer is equal to 12.5%

Given:

A solution contains 80 grams of common salt in 640 grams of water.

To find:

The concentration of the solution.

Solution:

The concentration of the solution is given as-

The mass of the solute/mass of the solution.

Let the mass of the solute that is common salt be 80 grams.

The mass of the solvent is 640 grams.

The mass of the solution is 640+80=720 grams.

So, we can write-

 \frac{80}{720} \times 100 \\ = 11.11\%

Hence the concentration of the solution is 11.11%.
