Answer :

  • Solution A has a pH of 2
  • Solution B has a pH of 13

Explanation :

Basic Solution :

  • If a Solution has a pH of greater than 7 then the Solution is said to be basic Solution.

Acidic solution :

  • And , if a Solution has a pH of less than 7 then the Solution is said to be acidic solution.

So,

Solution A has pH of 2 that is less than 7 so Solution A is acidic solution.

And,

Solution B has a pH of 13 which is greater than 7 so Solution B is basic Solution.

When Acidic solution and basic Solution are mixed together then Salt is formed and water is realsed during reaction.

Example :

  • HCl + KOH ----> KCl + H2O

Here, In above reaction HCl is acid and KOH is base When both are reacted the they formed KCL (salt) and H2O (water)
