A solution is formed by diluting 250 ml. of 0.400 N H₂SO₄ with

one litre of water. The normality of above formed solution is 0.080 N

- N1 = 0.400 N

V1 = 250 ml

V2= 250 ml + 1000 ml = 1250 ml

N2= ?

- we will use normality equation here

- so, N1 × V1 = N2 × V2

0.4 × 250 = N2 × 1250

N2 = 100 / 1250

N2 = 0.080 N

- so option (d) is correct
