A solution is made by adding 125g of sodium in 1.5 kg of water. What is the percent by mass?

mass of sodium - 125 g.

mass of water - 1.5 kg (i.e 1500 g).

Percentage of sodium in the solution-

(125/1500)*100

=4.6%

concentration -

=(mass of solute / mass of solute+ mass of solvent )*100

=(125g / 125+1500)*100

=(125/1625)*100

=7.69%
