Let , mass of solute A ( Wa ) :- 4 gm

       mass of water ( W ) :- 36 gm

Step 2)  Total mass of solution = 4 + 36 = 40 gm

Step 3)  Formula we will use is , mass % of solute = ( mass of solute ) / ( total mass of solution ) * 100 .

mass % of solute = (4 / 40) *100 = 10 \\

therefore , mass % of solute = 10 %
