Answer:

So, the molarity of the solution is 0.4 M.

Explanation:

Mass of solute KOH = 5.6 g

Volume of solvent = 250 ml = 0.25 L

Molecular weight of solute KOH = 56 g/mole

Molarity (M) =?

Molarity = n / v

Where, n = moles of solute (in grams)

             v = volume of solution (in liters)

n = mass of solute / molecular weight of solute

  = 5.6 / 56

  = 0.1 mole

So, Molarity = n / v

                    = 0.1 / 0.25

      Molarity = 0.4 M
