A solution is prepared by using two volatile components A (Vapour Pressure 160mm Hg) and B (Vapour Pressure 120 mm Hg) if equal moles of two components are added, then vapour pressure of solution will be

wishnusoni: 1/2(120+160)=140 mm hg

VapourPressure of total solution =p(A)X(A) +P(B) X(B)

By roults law

Mole fraction is equal to 1/2 in both cases due to same no:of moles so

1/2(120+160)=140cmm of hg
