a) Substance X - Calcium Hydroxide.
Ca(OH) 2 + CO2 ------- CaCO3 + H2Cl
CaCO3 --- white precipitate.
b) Calcium Hydroxide is obtained by reaction of calcium oxide and water.
CaO + H2O ------- Ca(OH)2 + Heat
