A solution of CuSO4 was kept in an iron ore. After few days the iron ore is going to have holes why?? Explain the reason in terms of reactivity. Give the equation of the reaction involved

Because displacement reaction will take place
The iron displace the cu and form FeSO4

2Fe + CuSO4 ---------> Fe2SO4 + Cu



When we add iron in to the copper sulphate solution then copper is displaced from the copper sulphate solution because copper is less reactive then iron which causes small holes are in to the iron and Ferussulphate formed with copper.
