A solution of cuso4 was kept in an iron pot. after few days, the iron pot was found to have a number of holes in it. explain the reason in terms of reactivity. write the equation of the reaction involved.

cuso4 + fe --- feso4 + cu


iron is more reactive than copper RAM does this place is it from copper sulphate solution to form a feso4 + CU which leads to hole in the iron pot

Iron is more reactive than Copper hence it will displace copper in the solution 

Fe(s) + Cu2+(aq) → Fe2+(aq) + Cu(s)

CuSO4(aq) + Fe(s) FeSO4 (aq) + Cu(s)
